Music has always been a defining part about my personality. I have different playlists for different moods and different mediums of audio for various locations. This hasn’t been a recent addition to my life, as I have always been partial to music since I was a child. Thus, within my portfolio, I wanted to connect the two to highlight how I have been shaped by the tastes of those around me.
Through my composite image, I have focused on the impact that music has had on my upbringing, with myself listening to music and bringing fourth previously forgotten memories of my childhood.
Yet with my still image, I bring forth commentary around the co-governance of digital and analog media within my life. Each medium covers each other, yet shows the same concept, I highlight how these media are equally valued within my life.
Wrapped up with my personal memories within my audio piece is a story of not only my life, but also a story of analog music in an ever more digital age.
